JCFN and volunteers from the Mid-Western states with focus on growth, encouragement and networking of Japanese-speaking Christians. Every year, there are many attendees of all ages travel-even from states South and East beyond the Midwest-to gather for this event. Beyond the Japanese speakers, we greatly welcome English speakers, providing simultaneous interpretation. We also provide childcare during each session for young children.
WILL-The Path That We WalkWithin our selfish nature, making the right and best choices is never easy. We get confused, tired, and even face doubts, when our lives battle our ever-changing thoughts and desires. The Bible, however, redirects us within the “Will of God” which spans beyond our personal wants and likes. Join us at CC10 to understand, accept and seek such divine will of God.
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2)

Main Speaker: Rev. Tetsuya Fukusaku (
Vancouver Japanese Gospel Church)
Rev. Fukusaku was born in Kanagawa, Japan. He came to Christ when he was working for the Japanese Consulate in Chicago, and he was baptized in August of 1988. He went to Tokyo Christian Theological Seminary from 1994 to 1997 and received M.Div. He served Karuizawa Christian Church as a pastor from 1997 to 2001. In 2000, at a retreat hosted by the Japan Evangelical Alliance Church, he was asked by the board of directors to move to Vancouver, Canada. He was surprised at the news at first, but God has placed in his heart a burden for Japanese Christians living overseas. He moved to Canada in 2001, and he has been pastoring at Vancouver Japanese Gospel Church ever since. Obeying the command in Matthew 28:19-20, he has been ministering to win the souls of Japanese for Christ. He is a father of three boys and one girl, and he enjoys working out as well as drinking coffee at Starbucks with his wife, Mari.
Special Guest: Dr. Sachi Nakamura (Ph.D. in Psychology, Translator)
Dr. Nakamura will be charge of "Christian Marriage" workshop. Born in Kanagawa, Japan. Dr. Nakamura became Christian when she was 14 and was baptized 4 years later. She came to the United States to study when she was 21, and she earned a doctoral degree in Psychology from Princeton University. Currently, she works as a translator, and her translated work has been appreciated by many Japanese Christians ever since they were published. She is a mother of one boy and three girls, and she enjoys writing.
